After meeting at last years CMJ festival, these four bad ass chicas formed a band that has already been landing on tours with She and Him, Vampire Weekend and Beach House. They have a day off on the Vampire Weekend/Beach House tour so they've decided to come and rock the piss out of Burlington! Wouldn't it be cool if the other two bands they were touring with showed up as well? Hmmm... Support comes from soon to be legendary Burlington rockers Blue Button.

MSR is teaming up with our good friends over at Angioplasty Media for this one. Sure to be an insane night of music featuring ex-Secret Machines leader Benjamin Curtis. In 2004 he joined forces with the lovely sister duo of Claudia and Alejandra Deheza from On! Air! Library! and have been creating some beautiful music ever since. Their 2008 debut album Alpinisms was highly praised and even received an 8.0 rating from Pitchfork. On September 12th they will be bringing their heralded live show to Club Metronome with some solid support from Active Child. Might be a good idea to get your tickets a little early for this one.

Considered by Paste Magazine to be one of the "100 greatest living Songwriters," David Bazan is known for constructing some seriously poetic songs. The Tallest Man On Earth is coming back through the Queen City this September for what is sure to be one of the most anticipated shows of the Fall. This time we're putting him on at Metronome and he's bringing some incredible support in S. Carey, who is in some group from Wisconsin called Bon Iver. This one sold out last time so it might be a good idea to get your tickets early.

This is the biggest collaboration in the music industry since Live Nation merged with Ticketmaster! Except we actually give a shit about the artists and the fans that make everything we do possible. Seriously though, we are very excited about all of this. Expect a butt load of shows coming through Burlington this fall. Maps and Atlases, Dum Dum Girls, School of Seven Bells just to name a few...

The bright side of this shitty scenario is that The Ruby Suns are still ready to rock the shit out of the Monkey along with Paper Castles and DJ Disco Phantom.

Lowell Thompson and Crown Pilot added to Dawes bill, Heavy Trash show on 4/20!
MSR is proud to announce that local rockers Lowell Thompson and Crown Pilot have been added as support for Dawes on 2/21 at The Monkey House. This solidifies an already stellar bill which also features Jason Boesel from Bright Eyes.
Also, we have added a show on April 20th with Heavy Trash featuring Jon Spencer from The Blues Explosion. This high energy punk/rockabilly outfit will surely shake the folks out of thier weed enduced stupor. Support will be announced shortly.

MSR is very sad to announce that The Heavy has canceled the remaining northeast dates of their current tour. This subsequently means that they will not be playing at Club Metronome on 11/4. There will still be a show this night featuring Rough Francis as the headlining band and Dj Disco Phantom spinning between sets.
